Lost Lightning

So first off I am going to talk about the design, because boy did it give me a load of trouble.

In my Dragonstuck AU the higher on the hemospectrum you are, the more aquatic the dragon. So it makes sense that as the highest land dweller, you would be a bit aquatic right? So I tried different types of fish, eels, and all sorts of things. I even tried basing him off the feralstuck idea, but then... None of that seemed remotely right. For one, he isn't a fish. Second, I don't want to copy feralstuck.

So I started thinking, and thinking, and finally I thought of thunder and lightning. Bam, there we go. A storm, has to do with water yet not completely a fish. What else? Thunder and lightning are a pair, the two sides. Thunder is a scary loud noise, yet is just a noise. Lightning can cause fires and death and is a flash of light! High Gamzee is a bunch of noise but is harmless, sober Gamzee in cunning and dangerous. It made sense!

Then I remembered the lightning that rises from the ground, or purple lightning. I learned about that in grade ten (?) and it all clicked. Purple lightning is right for Gamzee.

So his wings fade from purple to light blue on the insides, soft of like storm clouds, and on the top you have the lightning pattern. The spots on him, of his blood colour, glow in the dark so that other storm dragons can tell who he is during the night/during a storm.

His tail looks blunt, and I thought that the heavy bone would be for clubbing or bashing. And it would have fingers so he can hook it onto cliffs like I had already planned for his type of dragon.

His wings have claws on the end to hook into rock surfaces and stay attached during some of the fiercest storms- the ones that go out of control and force even the storm dragons down.

Anyways, he would bring large storms around with the rest of his pack/tribe. Storm dragons are one of the very few who are not scared of knights, since they live in groups, and will bring revenge of drowning a human city if one of them kill one of theirs.
